CORPORATE

WELLNESS

A company is made up of people and hence it is always a wise decision to invest in its most important asset- the employees. A company where its employees are able to achieve a work-wellness balance is regarded as one of the best workplaces.

Today, one of the biggest challenges corporates face is to protect their employees from the menace of excessive sitting and screentime. It has rightly been said that 'Sitting is the new smoking.' as it has started to show the potential damages it can cause, not just the physical ailments but also huge mental tolls.

In today's pandemic era, work-from-home has become the new normal and has added more to the woes. It has led to employees being deprived of one of the main motivations of the corporate world-the social ambience. Meeting people at the workplace used to have its silent contribution in helping employees cope up with the work pressure. Also, traveling to workplaces would give one an opportunity to get a change of atmosphere daily. Deprivation of all this has further added to the employees' frustration. Even if the companies may have been able to survive the challenge of financial targets, the numbers would quite have come at the cost of the well-being of employees, and there is a growing realization that this needs to be fixed.

Yoga and meditation have emerged as the most effective solution, especially considering the virtual platform. It takes care of all three aspects of a person's wellbeing- physical, mental and emotional, and an employee who is physically fit, mentally calm, and emotionally balanced will definitely deliver better results. Also, the work-life balance which the employees seek can be achieved through yoga and meditation, as it will enhance their energy levels which in turn will increase their productivity and give them more time for other things. So it's an absolute win-win for the company and employees.

To make an impactful difference, Kriti has designed special wellness workshops for corporates diving deeper into the specific needs beyond her regular yoga classes. These workshops include more relevant exercises and techniques, customized suiting to work culture requirements of the concerned company. More and more companies are embracing these sessions today not just for their employees but also in many instances for rewarding their vendors/distributors and clients.
